Torn

The Fire Of Troy, c late 16th c. (Fotosearch)

When a gaze
pierces more than spears,
Gory chapters
ink pages of history
'Bloods' change their course
Armours reveal faces,
that betray feeling faces
A Troy is a spectacle
A mockery of life itself
He looks down,
and laments
Cries that reach above.

hey
The battle of Troy always evokes multiple emotions in me. At times I feel really awe struck at the magnitude of it all. At other times, the futility of the entire endeavour strikes me dumb with horror. But all in all, Troy represents the civilizational collapse which marks the greatest of Greek legends.

Tru. what prompted mde to write it was Hector, much adorable of all, who received death at hands of someone who not only equalled him but respected him the same. Thats, i guess both the futility & paradox of wars, the first manifestation of any civilizational collapse. nd ofcourse what happened at Troy raises ques thsat reinforce the collapse.

U knw what m talking abt :)

It's beautiful, Shivika... and it's true for all time, for today's bombings as much as for troy... I love and fear it's powerful intensity... and the pic is so nice, from where do you find such stuff!!
